Flybox Flagship Glass Cockpit

Flybox Eclipse NG (IFIS vs. PFD)

The Flybox Eclipse NG is an advanced wide-format avionics display system engineered for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft. Designed to deliver glass-cockpit situational awareness, the Eclipse NG is available in two dedicated configurations: the IFIS (combining flight telemetry with split-screen engine monitoring on the right) and the PFD (a standalone unit dedicated entirely to full-screen primary flight instrumentation).

Panel Cutout 170.0 mm × 116.0 mm
Chassis Depth 45.3 mm (Body)
Supply Voltage 10 V – 30 V DC
Current Supply 0.5 A Typical
Video Display 3x Composite Inputs

Choosing Your System: IFIS vs. PFD

While both instruments share the same rugged aluminium housing and sunlight-readable display, they serve distinct cockpit functions:

Configuration 01

Eclipse NG IFIS (Integrated System)

The complete all-in-one flight and powerplant hub. The left half displays your primary flight instruments (attitude, speed tape, altitude drum, VSI, heading), while the right half of the screen is permanently dedicated to comprehensive engine monitoring (EIS).

  • Full right-hand engine panel: RPM, MAP, Oil P/T, Fuel Flow, CHT/EGT, Trim, Flaps
  • Three pneumatic ports: Pitot, Static, and Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP)
  • All three rear connectors wired (CON1, CON2, CON3) for complete sensor acquisition
  • Ideal as a standalone master glass panel in single-screen cockpits
Configuration 02

Eclipse NG PFD (Primary Flight Display)

A standalone, dedicated instrument built solely for primary flight information. Instead of dividing screen real estate with engine monitoring, the PFD presents a full-screen, high-focus flight display without secondary clutter.

  • Dedicated full-screen attitude, airspeed, barometric altitude, VSI, and directional gyro
  • Direct rear Pitot and Static pneumatic connections with internal AHRS sensors
  • Clean installation without analogue engine sensor looms
  • Perfect for dual-screen panels or cockpits utilizing separate engine instrumentation

IFIS Split-Screen Engine Management Scope

The right-hand side of the Eclipse NG IFIS permanently organizes your complete engine telemetry into clear visual zones:

01

Power & Pressures

Continuous large numerical and arc readouts for Engine RPM, Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP in inHg), Oil Pressure (bar or psi), and Fuel Pressure with customizable green, yellow, and red operating arcs.

02

All-Cylinder CHT & EGT

Vertical bar graph displaying up to 6x Cylinder Head Temperatures and 6x Exhaust Gas Temperatures simultaneously, with automatic peak temperature tracking and numerical readouts for the hottest and coldest cylinders.

03

Fuel Reserves & Flow

Monitors up to 3 individual fuel tank levels (Left, Main, Right) via capacitive or resistive floats, combined with dual fuel flow inputs for precision consumption, endurance, and range monitoring.

04

Airframe Controls & Status

Real-time on-screen indicators for elevator trim position, flap potentiometer setting, three gear-down status lamps, bus voltage, ammeter current, and an intelligent pre-takeoff engine readiness status monitor.
