EVO Engine Monitor System
IFD-NET EVO EMS (80 mm)
Designed specifically for Ultralight, Light Sport (LSA), and Experimental aircraft, the IFD-NET EVO EMS combines complete engine monitoring into a standard 80 mm (3⅛″) instrument. Built with an ultra-bright colour display (up to 1,200 cd/m²), it tracks RPM, Manifold Pressure, CHT, EGT, oil and fuel parameters, battery health, and tank levels in real time. Available in Base and Full hardware configurations to match your exact engine type.
Variant Comparison: Base vs. Full EMS
The EVO EMS hardware platform is populated at the factory to suit different engine installations. Please verify the number of physical sensors required prior to selecting your option:

EVO EMS BASE (6+6 Channels)
Optimised for standard 2-stroke or 4-cylinder engines (such as standard Rotax 912 UL/ULS carburetted engines) where you do not need dedicated thermocouple probes on every exhaust branch.
- 6× Physical Thermocouple Ports (EMS1 connector)
- 6× Analogue / Resistive Sensor Inputs (EMS2 connector)
- Monitors standard Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp, Fuel Pressure, and single/dual tank levels with low installation overhead
EVO EMS FULL (12+12 Channels)
The complete powertrain monitoring solution for 4 to 6-cylinder engines (Lycoming, Continental, Rotax 915/916, Jabiru 3300) requiring individual cylinder telemetry.
- 12× Physical Thermocouple Ports (EMS1 connector)
- 12× Analogue / Resistive Sensor Inputs (EMS2 connector)
- Provides simultaneous all-cylinder CHT and EGT bar graphs (up to 6 cylinders each) plus Turbine Inlet Temp (TIT) and complete auxiliary sensors
4-Quadrant Dynamic Screen Architecture
The high-resolution colour screen organises all engine telemetry into four dedicated scan zones:
Top Section: MAP & RPM
High-visibility semicircular colour arc dials displaying Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP in inHg) and Engine RPM. When only one parameter is enabled, it renders as a dominant top arc.
Left Section: CHT, EGT & TIT
Multi-colour cylinder bar graph: CHT (green bars), EGT (blue bars), and Turbine Inlet Temp (white bar). Dynamically auto-sizes to match your cylinder count, displaying peak numerical values at the top.
Right Section: Critical Pressures
Displays up to four horizontal bar indicators simultaneously: Oil Pressure (OILP), Oil Temp (OILT), Coolant Temp (CT), and Cockpit Temp (ABT). Rotating the large knob scrolls to Fuel Pressure, Fuel Flow, CAT, and OAT.
Bottom Section: Fuel & Electrical
Up to four vertical linear gauges showing Aircraft Bus Voltage (VBAT, always active), Fuel Level 1 (main tank), Fuel Level 2 (aux tank), and Alternator Current (Amps) with colour-coded low-fuel thresholds.
Sensor Compatibility & Custom Curve Calibration
- Universal Thermocouple Conditioning: Connects to Type J, K, N, E, R, S, or T thermocouples with cold-junction compensation and software trimming (TC TRIM).
- 24-Point Sensor Curves: Custom senders (resistive, 0–5 V voltage, or 4–20 mA current) can be mapped point-by-point to accurately track non-linear characteristics.
- 10-Step Tank Calibration: Calibrate irregular fuel tank shapes directly on the aircraft by emptying the tank and adding fuel in 1/10th increments.
- RS-485 FLY BUS Networking: Operates as a master unit to broadcast live engine data across the aircraft to slave repeaters (such as an IFD-NET EVO EMS Slave).
