Genuine Fly Henry Sensor Hardware

Fly Henry Precision Turbine Fuel Flow Transducers

Engineered specifically for Paramotors (PPG), Microlights, Trikes, and Ultralight (ULL) aircraft, these in-line turbine flow meters provide accurate, real-time fuel consumption telemetry directly to the Fly Henry Fly Meter. Available in two dedicated flow regimesβ€”a sensitive 0.5 – 25 Litres/Hour model for compact single-cylinder paramotors, and a high-flow 0.03 – 2 Litres/Minute (1.8 – 120 L/h) model for larger multi-cylinder or high-demand engines.

Sensor Tech Micro-Turbine Hall Pulse
Flow Regimes 0.5–25 L/h or 0.03–2 L/m
Operating Voltage 5 V – 20 V DC
Fuel Support Mogas (E10), AvGas & Mix

Choosing Your Flow Range

Select the model matched to your engine displacement and maximum full-power fuel demand:

Model Option Calibrated Measuring Span Recommended Engine Applications
0.5 – 25 Litres / Hour 0.5 to 25.0 L/h β€’ Ultra-sensitive at low idle & cruise burn Single-cylinder 2-stroke paramotors up to 250cc (e.g. Vittorazi Atom 80 / Moster 185, EOS 100/150, Top 80, Minari)
0.03 – 2.0 Litres / Minute Equivalent to 1.8 to 120 L/h β€’ Low restriction for high fuel demand High-output 2-strokes, twin-cylinder engines, trikes, and light 4-strokes (e.g. Polini Thor 250/303, Rotax 447/503/582, Simonini, HKS)
Variant 01

0.5 – 25 L/h (Paramotor Focus)

Specifically tuned for the low fuel consumption profiles of modern paramotors. Because standard flow meters struggle to register accurate pulses at tiny burn rates (e.g., 2.5 to 4.5 L/h during level cruise), this high-sensitivity turbine ensures exceptional accuracy down to half a litre per hour.

Variant 02

0.03 – 2.0 L/min (High Flow Focus)

Engineered for higher horsepower powerplants requiring up to 120 litres per hour under wide-open throttle (WOT). Features an enlarged flow path to eliminate fuel line pressure drops, ensuring your engine receives unobstructed fuel volume during full-power takeoff and extended climbs.

Cockpit Safety & Management Benefits

Unlocking the full power computer functions of your Fly Meter:

01

Real-Time Burn & Endurance

Continuously measures instant fuel flow (L/h or GPH), average consumption, and total burnt volume. Combines with your known tank capacity to calculate exact remaining flight airtime down to the minute.

02

Fuel Line Leakage Detection

Compatible with the 2024 Fly Meter's high-flow alert function. If a fuel pipe splits or a carburettor float valve sticks open, the meter detects the abnormal flow surge and flashes a warning on screen immediately.

03

Low Pressure-Drop Turbine

The internal Pelton micro-wheel creates minimal hydraulic drag, making it completely safe for suction-fed diaphragm carburettors and low-head gravity fuel systems without inducing vapour lock.

04

Ethanol & Oil Resistant

Constructed from chemically inert fuelsafe polymers and high-grade stainless components, fully certified for prolonged immersion in unleaded Mogas (E5/E10), 100LL AvGas, and modern 2-stroke oils.

Technical Specifications

Transducer Architecture In-line low-restriction micro-turbine / Pelton wheel flow sensor
Available Measuring Spans 0.5 – 25 L/h β€’ 0.03 – 2.0 L/min (1.8 – 120 L/h)
Electrical Interface 3-Wire connection: +V Power (5–20 V DC), Ground (GND), Signal (Pulse Out)
Compatible Fuel Types Aviation gasoline (AvGas 100LL), Mogas (E5 & E10), 2-stroke petrol/oil pre-mix
Plumbing Attachment In-line hose barbs for standard flexible aviation/automotive fuel hose
Instrument Compatibility Fly Henry Fly Meter (all firmware editions) & universal pulse EIS displays
Target Aircraft Paramotors (PPG), Microlights, Trikes, and Ultralight (ULL) aircraft
Installation Rules & Testing: Always install a fuel filter upstream of the transducer to protect the micro-turbine from tank debris. If your engine features a fuel pump, install the sensor on the delivery side (between pump and carburettor). If installed in a vacuum/suction line, verify all clamps are airtight to prevent air drawing or fuel foaming. Always conduct an extended full-power ground run before flight to confirm zero power reduction at wide-open throttle.
