The Flying Eyes Kingfisher is the brand's flagship square-frame model, renowned for being one of the most comfortable options for anyone wearing a headset or helmet.
It is important to note that Flying Eyes recently updated their naming convention. The model previously known as the Osprey is now officially called the Kingfisher Narrow, while the larger version is simply the Kingfisher Standard.
Key Features
- 1mm Micro-Thin Temples: The "secret sauce" is the ultra-thin temple arms made from Resilamide™, a high-performance aerospace polymer. At just 1mm thick, they don't break the noise-cancelling seal of your headset, preventing both "headset headaches" and annoying noise leaks.
- "Wrap-Back" Design: Unlike standard glasses that hook behind your ears (often causing pain under a helmet), these temples contour around the side of your head. This allows you to slide them on and off easily without removing your gear.
- Virtually Unbreakable: The frames are incredibly flexible and can be bent significantly without snapping, making them ideal for the rugged environment of a flight bag or motorcycle pannier.
- Optics: They feature shatterproof polycarbonate lenses with 100% UV400 protection. By default, they are non-polarized to ensure you can see digital cockpit displays and EFIS screens clearly from any angle.
