The "Base" designation is the most important part of this description. Unlike the Plus model, which can flip through multiple pages (Maps, HSI, Terrain), the Base is limited to a single, fixed environment:
Primary Flight Display (PFD): It acts as a digital artificial horizon. The screen is locked to a single "Avionic" page that provides all critical flight data in one view.
Standalone Functionality: It is a Master unit, meaning it contains all its own sensors (AHRS for attitude and pressure sensors for speed/altitude). It does not need a separate computer to work.
